Required skills: 
Hands on primary responsibility for either Checkpoint (preferred) or Cisco PIX firewalls in multi-location environments. 
Shell scripting plus experience in one or more of PERL, C/C++, Java or other programming languages. 

Other desired skills: 
snort, tripwire, wireshark, Websense, BSM, dns, nfs/nis, RSA, AD Routing protocols and networking CISSP Security Principles (certification not required) Solaris, Linux (redhat), Win2k/XP/Vista OS's SUN/Intel Hardware, Cisco switches and router Hardware 

Candidate should be able to work well within a team and be looking for a technically challenging position on a team with other technically strong members. Strong problem resolution ability will help the candidate be successful in this position. 

Responsibilities: 
Primary responsibility will be the setup, configuration, upgrades, and daily support of Checkpoint firewalls in multi-location enterprise wide locations. Will be expected to work on network design, setup and trouble shooting. Responsible for all external connections (internet and leased lines) for setup and support.
