Understand cloud technologies like xCat to provision operating systems and software on hardware. 

Understand cloud technologies to manage the automated configuration of multiple machines and network based load balance and firewall hardware to automatically assemble a working application from multiple machines 

Understand system administration well enough to help create a system that is easy to operate 

Understand software development well enough to make the system easy to develop with

Must be good at speaking to both individuals and large groups of people part of this role will be to evangelize the product 
Must be able to help people uncover requirements 

Essential Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills) 

· Very strong N-Tier Web Developer skills. 
· 3-5 years of significant IT experience in Java, predominantly web-based development along with strong hands-on experience in various frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate 
· Knowledge of Perl, Python or other scripting language 
· Experience with Linux 
· Demonstrable experience building and integrating RESTful applications 

· Candidates must have at least 8 years experience with software development, with Java being their expertise. Prior experience within the financial services sector or trading systems development would be considered a plus. 
· Strong programming fundamentals including but not limited to data-structures, concurrent programming 
· Experience with performance tuning applications is desirable 
· Experience with spring framework, maven and junit tools is preferred 
· Experience working with Eclipse modeling framework is a plus 
· Experience with Agile/RAD type environments as well as full project lifecycle environments 
· Strong communication skills. Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good personal management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities. 
· Expertise in how software is deployed in large geographically diffuse organizations 
· Experience in operating software deployed in large geographically diffuse organizations
