The Web Technologies group is responsible for the infrastructure of the the $10 million ecommerce business. They support .NET technologies, IIS hardware and software. 

The Web Technologies Analyst will be hands on in architecture, design, development, integration and deployment of web applications and web services 

Functions: 
- Main and further develop a stable reliable and growing web environment to support internal and external facing applications. 
-Seeks out emerging technologies information and provides management reviews of applicability 
- Uses the preferred application performance monitoring tool to identify opportunities to ensure the web services are 
processing in the most efficient manner 
-Troubleshoots website and web services issues and recommends improvements to meet project, program and department objectives for quality, efficiency, productivity and integrity 
- Works closely with users, developers and software.hardware vendors to identify and correct failing components of the web 
infrastructure 
- Consults on costs and benefits of platform enhancements 
- Develops alternative approaches to system processes 
- Performs routine and recommended maintenance upgrades 
- Provides consultation to application development teams on technical issues. Assists the programming department in creation of 
efficient coding techniques for web applications services 
- Develops and maintains adequate technical documentation on software configurations, installation instructions network diagrams, backup/recovery, standards and other related information 

Requirements: 
- Experience and understanding of SOA, Web Services, SOAP 
- Experience with web environments running IIS, Websphere 
- Strong software design skills 
- Experience with the following technologies: VMWare, SCOM, APM tools 
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems 
- Direct experience working with relational databases (SQL, DB2) 
- Excellent verbal and communication skills 
- Commitment to deadlines to meet the needs of a 24x7 environment. Ability to work on a on call rotation basis.
