QA Analyst - (US-NY-Merrick vicinity)

Compensation: $75K - $85K / Year

The ideal candidate would have 6+ years in progressively advanced roles in Quality Assurance. The position requires strong technical, troubleshooting and communications skills. The candidate must demonstrate ownership and follow-through in a fast paced mission critical environment while working collaboratively with a wide range of technical and non-technical personnel. 

Work in a self-directed environment where strong teamwork, individual initiative and accountability are highly valued and expected. Personal flexibility and ability to work within a global footprint is a must. 

Essential Job Functions 
Leverage existing issue tracking system to develop testing scope and test plan. Create test cases and test data sets and manage QA intellectual property within a test case and test results management system. Present QA reports on test results and code coverage to provide visibility into initial code quality and test schedule compliance. 


Requirements 
• 7+ years experience testing client-server applications 
• 7+ years Windows experience including Windows XP, Server 2003 
• 3+ years PL SQL and SQL PLUS experience 

Desired 
• 2+ years Linux experience 
• Familiarity with JIRA, TestTrack TCM 
• QA Automation tools 


Education and Work Experience Required 
Bachelors Degree in computer science or information technology, with at least 7 years of progressive quality assurance test experience OR equivalent progressive work experience.
