Senior Software Engineer - (US-PA-Bala Cynwyd)

Compensation: $80K - $85K / Year

· Contribute to technical and architectural design, research, and prototyping
· Implement code to meet business requirements and technical design, including data model, object model, UI behavior, and state management and transitions
· Unit test changes
· Work closely with quality assurance analysts to identify and resolve defects and gaps in implementation, both before and after release
· Contribute to stable, regular test builds and scheduled production releases
· Follow corporate development and architectural standards
· Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
· Share techniques, tips, and explanations of changes that may aid fellow developers in their work
· Participate in technical resolution of client issues
· Installation and support of the application

Requirements:

This position requires an individual with proven technical ability and full life-cycle team development experience.

The ideal candidate would possess the following:
· 5+ years experience developing on .NET
· Experience developing trading and/or risk management applications in the financial industry
· Very strong development skills in C#, ASP.NET
· Capable of technical design and implementation using sound architectural principles
· Proven skills in object oriented programming and design patterns
· Willingness to accept new challenges and learn on the job in a fast paced environment is a must.
· Enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable.
· Working knowledge of MS SQL Server is preferred
· Experience with Reuters Market Data systems, VB6, Javascript, HTML, XML and XSL are highly desirable.
· Accounting/FAS133 knowledge is a plus.
· Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training
