QA Analyst - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $60K - $65K / Year

Conduct QA testing of company products including ongoing bug fix verifications and implementation of test plans. 
Assist developers in quickly determining the cause of problems reported in production systems. 
Provide feedback on both business and technical issues to Product Management and Software Engineers. 
Assist in writing and implementing formal QA test plans. 
Contribute to the integrity of the test plans, test cases, test data, and test environments. 
Execute manual tests and record problems in defect tracking software. 
Analyze, isolate, and reproduce errors. Assist in debugging. 
Participate in spec reviews to clarify features, and identify how to make them testable. 
Execute test cases per plan and document test results. 
Identify and catalog defects, report test results and status, and manage defect resolution with software engineers. 
Design test cases for assigned modules, assist in building test systems and automating tests under the direction of more senior QA analysts. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

Proven knowledge of quality assurance and software testing methodologies 
Previous experience in diagnosing and resolving complex test environment configuration issues 
Previous experience developing automation and small tools/applications, ability to debug code issues, and exhibit a strong passion and pride in work 
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of efficiency 
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, quantitative topics and concepts 
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing 
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a part of large and small teams 
Previous experience with the full software development life cycle, including multiple product releases from an SQE perspective
