Description: | The analyst's primary responsibility will be to assist the team in fixed-income investor relationship management. This includes daily and weekly meetings with investors both in-person and on the phone. Moreover, the analyst will need to prepare reports related to interest rate, mutual fund, and fixed income markets using coming tools such as Bloomberg. The analyst will also be required to make well-thought out recommendations on a variety of new funding initiatives pursued by the bank. Additionally, the analyst may be expected to participate in various special projects for the Planning Group. EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in Economics, Finance. 2-3 years of comparable experience in a financial institution. Some experience in a sales or capital markets role highly preferred. Understanding in capital markets is preferred. Interest and willingness in learning about this field is essential. SKILLS: Networking, analytical, and mathematical ability required. A successful applicant will show the ability to learn the fixed income markets and to communicate effectively on a variety of different asset classes. Given that this position is customer facing, professionalism, and presentability is a critical element for the role. Teamwork and flexibility in working in a variety of different work cultures is essential given the multicultural make up of the firm. Microsoft Office, Japanese communication skills a plus. Ability to learn Bloomberg and Bloomberg API Excel input language.
