These systems involve order management, trade management, position keeping etc. functions. The role will take on the following responsibilities: · Design, develop and deploy enterprise/system components following a mature software development process · Participate in object-oriented analysis/design/development, platform specific build and packaging, deployment and production support issues related to applications. · Ensure the delivery of quality solutions in a timely fashion in accordance to processes and controls. Responsibilities: · Candidates must have at least 8 years experience with software development, with Java being their expertise. Prior experience within the financial services sector or trading systems development would be considered a plus. · Strong object-oriented analysis, design and programming skills including UML
Working knowledge of design patterns, and UML for software architecture · Strong programming fundamentals including but not limited to data-structures, concurrent programming · Experience with performance tuning applications is desirable · Experience with spring framework, maven and junit tools is preferred · Experience working with Eclipse modeling framework is a plus · Experience with Agile/RAD type environments as well as full project lifecycle environments · Strong communication skills. Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
