• Thorough knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, local and wide area networks systems.
• Knowledge of new developments related to personal computers and networks.
• A solid understanding of routers and routing.
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Internet hardware/software technologies, LAN desktop and server support, networking fundamentals and hardware use, familiarity with data base and development technologies.
• Familiarity with PC’s and related equipment.
Competencies:
• Ability to identify and diagnose problems related to computer hardware and software and to find effective solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, vendors, contractors and the general public.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Effective problem solving techniques and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressing deadlines.
Experience Needed:
• Minimum 3 years experience managing a network.

Education Required:
• Associate's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field and three years experience in personal computers and local and wide area network systems analysis
• MCSE Windows 2K certification
