Business Analyst--CRM experience NYC

Description:    Work directly and collaboratively with technical and business teams to deliver high quality functionality. Responsibilities include solution requirements gathering and documentation. Prior experience in the design of CRM-based business systems is key and must for this role. 

Primary responsibilities will include: 
§ Perform and lead business analysis for information technology projects that support key business initiatives, and provide upgrades and enhancements to existing strategic applications/systems. 
§ Act as liaison between business units, development teams and vendors, frequently serving a consultative role balancing the complexities of business requirements against implementation constraints. 
§ Translate business needs into technical requirements to ensure all systems support and conform to business needs and specifications. Drive solutions to business problems and requirements with a good understanding of technology and processes. 
§ Define the scope and impact of projects and effectively communicate the impact on the organization. Define and evaluate problems, and plan effective solutions. 
§ Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to define Test plans, perform required testing to ensure adherence to Requirements, help with Defect-related clarifications, and communication between Dev and QA 
§ Set up and coordinate pre-Production and post-Production User Acceptance Testing with business users 
§ Develop and implement processes and standards (including best practices) to improve and maintain quality and effectiveness of business analysis function for the team 
§ Mentor, lead and develop other business analysts. 
§ Manage multiple projects or a single major project, with significant impact on a line of business or support function. 
§ Work closely with the Development Teams, Management Team, Infrastructure Management, vendors (as required), and our partners across other technology, business and shared services / infrastructure groups within the firm.
§ Participate in the key communications for strategic initiatives, with business and technology leadership and working members of projects. 
§ Develop and maintain project materials/documentation – e.g., requirements documentation, functional/non-functional test plans, etc. 

Key Selection Criteria 
§ Possess 8+ years of professional CRM experience within the financial services industry. 

§ Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and problem solving skills; excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills are also essential. 
§ Have 7+ years of practical, hands-on experience as a business analyst and therefore have insight into how to improve processes around requirements scope, definition, requirements gathering and project management. 
§ Be able to interact comfortably with and gain the confidence of senior managers. Candidate must put people at ease when necessary and instill a high degree of trust quickly and genuinely. 
§ Function effectively in cross-functional teams to ensure that critical work is owned and completed in a timely manner. In general, candidate must aptly manage day-to-day interactions and relationships with a diverse group of colleagues, leveraging exceptional communication and organizational skills. 
§ Be very capable with financial analysis and use of productivity tools such as Excel. 
§ Demonstrate strong history of execution, including large and complex projects in a global environment.
