SENIOR ASSOCIATE, TECHNOLOGY – .NET (WPF SILVERLIGHT)
• Support or lead design, estimation and planning tasks for the solution using technical and functional expertise.
• Generate and review estimates, which include anticipated risks.
• Facilitate clients in meetings to capture business requirements and develop solution design using best practice/design patterns.
• May be required to be hands-on developer for complex areas.
• May be required to support and enhance existing client applications.
• Manage projects, people, and scope and be responsible for quality for your development track/team throughout the project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Significant, hands-on experience in solution design, architectural analysis within trading systems (or similar).
• Good understanding of financial and energy trading markets, especially front and mid office within at least one asset class or product type.
• Proficient in Core C#/.NET fundamentals especially Collections, GC, events and delegates, Multi-threading and Generics.
• Proficient understanding of new language features like LINQ and lambda expressions.
• Significant experience in at least one IOC Container and Mock Framework, NAnt and NUnit.
• Proficiency in one or more Relational Databases is highly desirable: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase.
• Excellent knowledge of OOAD, UML, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
• Experience in WPF and/or Silverlight with WCF using MVC, MVP and MVVM and RIA data/web services and familiarity with UI/UE design and implementation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• End-to-end experience in agile software development lifecycle. • Ability to influence and negotiate with clients and team members. • Project leadership skills including people management, scope and plan management and tracking. • Ability to abstract detail into larger (repeatable) patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques. • Openness to travel and work at client offices. -Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
