Description: Designs, installs, and maintains production and development databases. · Reviews project requests describing database user needs, and estimates time and costs required to accomplish project. · Determines if project requires creating series of new programs or modifying existing programs that access data stored in databases. · Determines if project requires changes or additions to the metadata repository. · Attends specification meetings with project team to determine scope and limitations of project. · Reviews workflow charts developed by developers to understand tasks computer will perform. · Evaluates and manages logical and physical databases while ensuring high levels of data quality. · Reviews and revises company definition of data. · Develops data models, creates and writes descriptions to assist developers. · Writes physical database descriptions to protect company data resources against unauthorized access and accidental destruction. · Reviews procedures in database management system manuals. · Develops and implements database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of database and their accompanying software. BA in computer science or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · MS SQL required · Experience with MS Sharepoint preferred. · Analytical and problem solving skills necessary · Ability to work in a team and effectively communicate · Competency in securing databases using industry best practices · Off-hours and weekend work required as necessary Email resume in Word to TheBigGameHunter@cisny.com.
