Description:    Underwrite profitable Commercial Lines business for multi-national accounts within assigned territory in accordance with Corporate and Field office goals.

1. Selects and underwrites complex Commercial Lines risks within delegated underwriting authority. Applies appropriate pricing techniques according to company filings and state/bureau conformance to earn underwriting profit. 
2. Monitors underwriting results, premium and loss trends within assigned book of business. Plans and fosters communication both internally and externally as to account profitability and renewal forecasting in order to remediate or non-renew accounts as needed. 
3. Establishes and executes effective and efficient producer and client visits (with appropriate business units - Loss Control, Claims and Marketing Representatives) in order to maintain and increase new business production. 
4. Effectively communicates with intra-company departments as well as producers and insured’s to provide a high degree of account management. 
5. Documents and maintains underwriting files to meet company and industry conformance and underwriting standards. 


Education and/or Experience 

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university is preferred; A high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent; 10+ years related commercial lines underwriting experience with advanced underwriting concepts such as loss sensitive and retention programs. The target candidate would have experience underwriting multi-line accounts averaging from $500K to $1M.
