DBA With Postgres Exp
· Oversee database architecture and modeling based on product requirements
· Diagnose, resolve and implement measures to prevent problems for availability, recover-ability and performance of all supported database environments.
· Optimize and tune database for performance
· Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
· 24x7 management of database servers in a high-availability environment
· Manage backups, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover
· Oversee capacity planning and performance requirements
· Implement and maintain security and data encryption
· Develop project plans for implementing database environments
Experience and Skills
· 5+ years DBA experience with 2+ years with PostgreSQL
· Linux administrator skills
· Expertise in Data Modeling and Design
· Advanced database system performance and tuning
· Experience managing multiple database servers in a 24x7 environment
· Ability to collaborate with developers on complete application solutions
· In-depth knowledge of the SDLC as well as through knowledge of design technologies and tools
