        Description:    NYC based financial software company is seeking an experienced Android developer to join their mobile development group. You will help build out their flagship mobile apps for financial professionals. This is a fast-paced development environment within a global corporate environment and they expect the successful candidate to be comfortable in this type of environment while bringing an energetic and creative approach to their work. The ideal candidate has a background in mobile application design and development with a strong background in Java and Android application design. 

- Work actively with product managers to understand and better define application requirements. 
- Contribute to the overall design and architecture of the mobile platform. 
- Responsible for the overall development of Android based applications on accordance to product specifications. 
- Develop Enterprise grade Android application for Financial markets professionals. 
- Track product metrics and key performance indicators 
- Use past experience, best practices, metrics and emerging trends to produce superior and evolving mobile products and user experience 
- Develop key relationships with industry peers and counterparts both internally and externally 
- Set expectations with stakeholders and ensures fulfillment through the product lifecycle 
- Leadership of mobile product support team network 
- Work with other team members to influence change in a growing organization 
- Use past experience and research to influence change platform architecture to improve overall performance and stability. 

Qualifications 

- Hands on experience developing enterprise grade Android mobile applications 
- Expert level development background in Java 
- Web Services and JSON experience a plus 
- Knowledge of cutting-edge mobile technologies 
- Familiarity/experience with Agile software methodologies 
- Financial services experience is a plus
