Description:    will look across the industry landscape and make recommendations about specific tooling and products. The candidate will drive configuration of that tooling and/or products to maximize the usage of JRIA application metric data in both understanding, optimizing and improving the effectiveness of the application portfolio. The candidate will be tasked to act upon these recommendations producing detailed reports, recommendations and summaries. 

The ideal candidate will establish a center of excellence metric practice to include data collection, identification of key metrics, standardized reporting and summary dashboards for executive decision making. This candidate should be a forward looking, strategic thinker, able to set direction and work cross platform (Windows, Linux and Unix). Must have a deep understanding of web metrics and methodologies for collecting such metrics. Strong background in using metrics to drive testing and improve applications, transactions flows and user interaction. 

Conducts trend analysis on metrics to determine if hidden problems exist within IT services or components. Accurately presents data to support improvement in processes and procedures. Produces performance based metrics derived from JRIA key recommended measurements. Collects, analyzes, and documents management requirements. Researches data sources for the statistical data or creates new sources for data collection. Generates and validates goals and objectives for center of excellence. Generates monthly and quarterly reports detailing progress toward meeting goals and objectives of JRIA and current state of metrics. Application by application metrics report outlining all key metrics for a specific application on a trend format. 

Must have a minimum of 10+ years working in a large scale enterprise real time(online) system, prefer web based or financial environment (i.e. PCI) in a problem solving, design or development leadership role. Architectural background required. Must be well versed in all available metric technologies (across the network, virtualization, servers, applications and database) as well middleware and application containers (MQ, WMB and WAS). Ability to use modern big data analytics tools, extract critical information and formulate strategy to deploy corrective solutions. As the need arises make recommendations on specific tooling to close any gaps in key metrics collection. Ability to take complex subject matter and communicate that matter in a business context to senior executives and managers. 

Self-Starter, ability to set direction and act on that direction. 
Databases: Oracle, SQL 
MS Office PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel above average presentation skills both verbal and written. 
Background in analytics tools such as Web trends or similar products. 
Strong ability to take complex data and summarize in a management format but capable of providing the backing details as needed. 

International travel to Ireland or the UK (twice a year).
