The Messaging Engineer is responsible for the technical support and enhancement of Client’s Messaging Infrastructure including surrounding technology such as Servers, Storage, Network, Operating Systems, Directory Services and database technologies. 

Essential Job Functions 
• Ensuring the stable operation and up keeping of the entire Messaging environment. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and improving Lotus Domino Servers, and peripheral systems. Additional systems that interact with Lotus Domino include Proofpoint Protection Server, Blackberry Enterprise Servers, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Traveler, Lotus iNotes, McAfee’s EMM and VMware. 
• Maintaining and supporting the administration of corporate email and Domino applications environment which consists of clustered Domino servers in Windows 2008 and some Linux. 
• Leading messaging related projects aligned company’s strategic goals. 
• Performing Servers/Clients software upgrades, deploying patches and architectural changes to the messaging environment. 
• Installing, configuring, managing and maintaining Lotus Domino Servers. 
• Monitoring and Performing daily routine server health checks and Administrative tasks such as provisioning IDs, Creating Mail-in DBs, Mail quota increases, ID Re-certifications, etc. 
• Troubleshooting of all Email/calendar and Domino application related issues. 
• Ensuring Clustering Replication is always synched up and Domino servers highly available. 
• Works in conjunction with the backup team to ensure mailboxes are being properly backed up and meeting retention requirements. 
• Designs and Develops strategies to properly secure messaging environment in compliance with IT security policies. 
• Provides technical advice and recommends solutions and technologies to improve the messaging environment. 
• Mentoring and training of service desk agents on first call resolution issues. 
• Maintains and updates Messaging environment technical documentation. 
• Participate in the On Call coverage rotation as needed 

Qualifications 
• College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. 
• 5 + years of experience in Lotus Notes and Domino on multi-platforms 
• 3 + years of experience in Blackberry Enterprise Server 
• Proofpoint Protection Server experience or other comparable Email Secure Gateway 
• Lotus Traveler Experience 
• Lotus Sametime Experience 
• Experience with McAfee’s EMM, Airwatch or other comparable MDM Solution 

Other Skills/Abilities 
• IBM Certification in Lotus System Administration is preferred 
• MS Exchange 2010 and Mail Migration Experience is a plus. 
• Commvault Backup experience is a plus 
• Excellent Communication Skills
