Description:    Analyst or Associate level credit analyst with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working at a commercial or investment bank to join a front office Energy, Power & Natural Resources Group. The position supports Relationship Managers in their daily functions to maximize revenue while minimizing risk capital (i.e. maximizing transaction profitability). Support includes creating loan applications, building financial models, quantitative and qualitative analysis, monitoring the credit quality of assigned accounts, processing and filtering large amounts of information and problem solving, among others. Responsibilities also include negotiation and coordination between departments and agent banks, as well as direct communication with customers as applicable. 

Support senior group members for new deal activity and credit reviews. 
Provide assistance on new credit applications by modeling financial statements as well as Merger & Acquisition analysis and modeling pro forma income statements. 
Ensure all credit reviews are completed in a timely manner with minimal errors. 
Manage day-to-day activities of a portfolio and client accounts. 
Monitor the performance of assigned accounts by conducting periodic and annual reviews, and creating credit alarms when necessary. 
Maintain and initiate contact with existing and prospective customers. 
Support customer marketing and relationship management efforts including calls to other banks. 
Collaborate with team members in Houston and New York for portfolio needs. 
Create customer presentations and call reports; perform compliance/KYC reviews; complete credit related projects and activities. 
Research using Bloomberg as well as other public and private databases. 
Follow industry trends and keep parties informed of news worthy items. 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS: 

Knowledge of financial accounting and sound understanding of income, balance sheet and cash flow statements. 
Proven ability to analyze corporate credits and build financial models and projections to determine credit worthiness. 
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
Analytical and problem solving skills. 
Ability to learn bank procedures and systems quickly and stay up-to-date with training and memorandums. 
Bachelor’s Degree required. 
Experience in a Commercial or Investment Bank or other finance experience. 
Formal credit training preferred. 
Ability to work independently as well as on a team. 
Strong communication skills. 
Good business and financial writing skills. 
Proficient in MS Office.
