QUALIFICATIONS:
•       ITIL certification/training strongly desired
•       Strong Python, Perl or Linux Shell Scripting experience required
•       Database experience a plus – Oracle/MySQL skills
•       Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, fast learner
•       Good working knowledge of Linux & Windows Administration
•       Experience in Network/Application troubleshooting
•       Strong experience with Tomcat/PHP Web application management and troubleshooting.
•       Experience with Splunk, Nagios, Zend PHP, and APM (application performance monitoring) tools desired
•       Experience working with distributed teams located in other offices/time-zones preferred
•       Excellent written and oral communication skills
•       Thorough approach to work and focused attention to details
•       Ability to works on multiple projects effectively
•       Ability to find workaround when challenges occur
•       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or other similar concentration or equivalent experience
•       Working towards or completion of MS or related degree a plus
•       2+ years' experience in Application Support/System administration or other similar technical field preferred.
 
Hands-on, proactive, business-oriented Web Administrator.  The role engages development and business teams providing systems administration for Linux, Apache Proxy, Apache Tomcat, and PHP while analyzing system performance and suggesting/implementing standards/policies as needed
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•       Manage system/software configurations and troubleshoot environment issues
•       Manage production hardware and software resources including coordinating maintenance and outages with infrastructure and business groups
•       Document and improve upon processes, procedures, and best practices to align with industry standards and customer needs
•       Collaborate with development/QA teams throughout the release process
•       Perform system administration for web and application servers.
•       Provide recommendations on configuration improvements.
•       Analyze and identify key areas for automation and optimization, including improvements in system performance, processes, and deployments
•       Develop system tools and utilities (i.e. scripts, etc.) to simplify and support monitoring and process
