Description:   
Will pay a small sign on bonus to compensate for relocation expenses
 
Required Skills:
Proven experience with the Section 508 requirements of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
Knowledge of remediation of Section 508 accessibility issues.
Familiarity with browser-independent coding techniques.
Be able to create high quality, user-friendly designs.
Strong knowledge in front-end development technologies and experience working with modern server side frameworks.
Must be able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and production schedules as part of a team with minimal supervision and direction.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, able to budget time on large, multi-faceted tasks.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Able to quickly learn software application packages used by the program.
Works on multiple projects as a project team member.
Solid understanding and experience with object-oriented programming and associated design patterns.
Minimum 6-8 years professional experience.
 
Plusses:
5+ years of related experience.
Some experience working with government agencies is preferred.
Knowledge of and ability to use Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software
 
Able to apply HCI knowledge for designs for excellent user experiences
Determine the requirements of the Section 508 testing environment. Work with software developers to implement Section 508 compliance.
Perform Section 508 accessibility audits and validation testing for web applications. Recommend solutions for remediating Section 508 accessibility violations.
Write detailed audit and test findings documenting identified Section 508 accessibility issues.
Develop and iterate design mockups, user stories, and other design documents.
Translate business requirements into wireframes, screen mock-ups, and prototypes.
Develop (or work with RCP teams to develop):
A common web-based application template that presents a unified look and feel and a consistent branding message.
Common web components, development practices, and testing methodologies.
Research how users work with our products by performing task analysis, designing prototypes, performing usability studies, or other methods.
