Legal and regulatory requirements such as

Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards.

Certified Information Systems Security

Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified

Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, is desired.

ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT and ones from NIST.

Application Security Standards, Access &

Identity Control, Endpoint Protection, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems,

Firewalls, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Enterprise Patch Management

Software, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools.

Cyber threats such as Advanced Persistent Threat

(APT), Malware, DDoS and related.

NIST and SANS as well as the ability to build a

security framework based on industry standards.

CISSP, CISM, CISA or related certification

preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Develop and report on IT security metrics on a

periodic basis to ensure all operational areas are managed to defined criteria.

Ensure the ongoing integration of information

security with business strategies and requirements.

Manage relationship with Internal Audit and

liaison for annual audit plans.

Ensure access controls, disaster recovery,

business continuity, security incident response, and risk management needs of

the organization are properly addressed.

Ensure that Information Security initiatives are

well aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Participate in security incident response

process to contain, investigate, and prevent future security incidents &

breaches.
