Description:   

Set up and maintain hard copy confidential personnel files.  Ensure proper employee documentation is on file and forwarded to required agencies (i.e. I-9 verification, state required new hire reporting, etc.)

Maintains the HR portion of the intranet.  Update employee directory, forms, etc.

Initiates employee disciplinary notices.

Maintains and completes daily attendance records.

Develops, edits, and coordinates articles / information for The Perspectives company newsletter and distributes hard copy to plant personnel.

Greets and triages HR questions/concerns from employees and public.

Plans and coordinates various Human Resources Projects (i.e. service awards, employee gifts/handouts)

Works with vendors to administer employee services such as uniforms, boot vouchers, and safety eye glasses.

Makes travel arrangements for prospective employees and personnel.

Provides benefit administration support by facilitating communication with employees, including preparation of orientation packages.

Find appropriate work activities for light duty employees.

Event planning / execution for various company events including company picnic, all hands meetings, sales meetings, Review.

Performs variety of clerical duties including ordering  business cards and ensures vending machines function properly throughout the plant.

Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
