Education: BS or above in Computer Science or similar field; MS or above preferred

 

Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing enhancements as well as support for  Smart Order Router (SOR). SOR is a part of  Execution Services complex responsible for advanced algorithmic order execution both for Agency and Prop orders. SOR is connected to most of US and Canadian execution venues including exchanges, ECNs and ATSes ("dark pools") and is responsible for optimization of order execution along predefined execution strategy. SOR is one of the most critical systems for CS Equities with direct implications for the bottom line of the award-winning AES franchise.

 

The role will involve system analysis, design, development, testing and support in application and database development. The candidate must have experience developing high-performance, distributed, n-tier, multi-threaded, asynchronous applications in C++. Experience with messaging middleware and distribution technologies is required. Relational database experience: SQL, stored procedures, schema design is preferred. Familiarity with Agile development process, particulrly "test first" development, is a plus. The candidate should be able to work independently and also collaborate well in the small team environment. Potential to lead a small team of developers is a plus.
