IMPORTANT NOTE:
This position will require working Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

Qualifications: Degree or currently attending college/technical school in a computer technology field.

The candidate should be familiar with the day-today operational issues surrounding the various business computer technologies listed below.

The candidate should be familiar with operational disciplines such as project management, problem management, change management, network/server monitoring, systems monitoring, server backups/restores, and multi-platform integration/communication.

This position requires that the candidate have at least 3+ years experience with the following technologies:

Hardware:
Sun Microsystems (Sparc server/workstations, Ultra server/workstations, Ultra enterprise servers), X86 hardware (IBM, DELL, HP, or equivalent)

Operating System:
Sun Solaris 2.5.1 and later, RedHat LINUX

Other:
Microsoft office suite, NIS, LDAP, NFS, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File System, Veritas Netbackup, Scripting in one or more of the following: Perl, BMC Patrol, C Shell, Borne Shell, C/C++, MySQL.


Desired skills include:

Hardware:
Digital Alpha, EMC Symmetric, EMC Connectrix, EMC DMX, NETAPP

Operating Systems:
Digital UNIX, Windows NT Other: Lotus Notes, Sybase, Oracle, SAMBA, PC_NFS, and Problem management and escalation applications.


Duties Include:
- Combination of on-site and 24x7 on-call support
- Represent Client Server Administration team on various firm initiatives
- Manage various projects sponsored by Client Server Administration
- Monitoring all distributed systems infrastructure
- Creation, and updating support scripts and documentation
- Perform periodic server maintenance - Support server backup and restores
- Provision and maintain servers and associated peripherals 
   
  THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE WORKING TUESDAY-SATURDAY OR SUNDAY-THURSDAY.
