Configuration Engineer- $80-$85K--NYC

Configuration Engineer ($80-$85k)  H1-Bs, can be presented.

 

Description: (essentially QA and Perl background)

This position will involve doing mostly automation work for our WebFOCUS software development division. The automation tasks involve:

a) QA automation using QTP software, perl scripting, and windows batch scripting.

b) Software Configuration automation involving automatically installing and configuring WebFOCUS and WebFOCUS Developer studio using QTP/perl/EXPECT on windows/UNIX platforms.

c) Configuring various webserver/appserver configs such as IIS/sun one/apache tomcat/weblogic/websphere etc.

Requirements:

-4 years college degree in Math/Science/Engineering

-5 -10 years experience in the software industry

-Mid-level knowledge of Perl

-Mid-level knowledge of Visual Basic

-Mid-level knowledge of QA automation tools such as QTP/Rational Robot.

-knowledge of webserver/appserver configurations such as IIS/Apache Tomcat/Weblogic/Websphere etc.

-knowledge of UNIX platforms such as Solaris/Linux/AIX etc.

-Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and Windows batch scripting.

-Knowledge of Java J2EE environment.

-Knowledge of web technology such as servlets/applets/xml/html etc.

-Knowledge of RDBMS configurations.
