Job Description Manage projects on a cross-functional basis without direct supervision, including organizing, delegating and managing the works of others.
Identify opportunities in manufacturing process for yield improvement and reduce process variation. Use Six Sigma, DMAIC, Lean and other methods to better understand and improve the manufacturing processes.
Develop and evaluate process feasibility in pilot plant scale process for application at the manufacturing scale. Perform necessary development validation activities and prepare necessary documentation in support of technology transfer/training to manufacturing.
Serve as the primary Technical Services contact for Validation, Regulatory Affairs to facilitate process validation and in support of the regulatory submission.
Act as a coach and a mentor to junior team members. Sought out by others to offer technical advices.
Investigate and provide high risk product impact assessment upon process exception based on validation, technical knowledge, literature research or other supporting data.

Candidate Must Have :
* MS in Chemical Engineer, Biochemical Engineer or Biochemistry 15 years exp. or 5 years experience with Ph.D
* Supervisory and technical management experience
* Engineering training / knowledge / experience to design and evaluate unit process in protein separation or purification
* cGMP regulated manufacturing environment
* solid / liquid separation principals and broad hands-on experience with solid / liquid technologies
