Java LEVEL III SUPPORT---$60-80K--NYC

 3 Openings.  Basically looking for someone who knows JAVA, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, WEB SERVICES and wants to do CUSTOMER SUPPORT; $60k-$80K

General Description

The Level III support rep is a proven high-level resource with technical expertise and customer support consulting skills.  A consultant in this position has mastered the day-to-day customer support duties, product specialization and queue and crisis management.  This level also allows the consultant to expand and grow in their specialty area.

Reports to:  Group Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Along with consulting, the level III support rep must demonstrate their technical expertise on a regular basis.  This encompasses sharing their knowledge by presenting formalized training classes and presentations to less experienced and/or knowledgeable consultants in CSS.

  • Solve problems and answer questions.
  • Act as a mentor for lower level consultants.
  • Present advanced classes to the team in their specialty area(s).
  • Take on special and/or individual projects.
  • Be responsible for promoted or sensitive calls
  • Perform OPEN queue management.
  • Fulfill training and education requirements for their specialty.
  • Conduct conference calls
  • Perform account management functions
  • Handle escalations

General Activities

Daily activities outside of regular support responsibilities consist of the following:

  • Take calls the have exceeded the time limits.
  • Provide additional information or questions to be posed to client.
  • Do call review with lower level consultants.
    • Critique call document content.
    • Provide additional comments.
    • Provide additional resources of technical information.
  • Perform liaison activities
    • Work with division on product publications.
    • Work with division on "READ ME" files.

Job Qualifications

-         A college degree or equivalent experience

-         Two to four years of  IT related experience. Customer Service experience is a plus.

-         Knowledge of at least one operating system, such as Windows, Unix, Linux, MF and etc.

-         Strong working knowledge of Java, Javascript, .Net., J2EE, HTML, Web Services and XML.

-         Working knowledge with various Web Servers, Application Servers, and Portals

-         Strong knowledge of database technologies as well as SQL

-         Skilled in advanced troubleshooting and coding techniques.

Required Skills

-         Must communicate effectively and have excellent telephone skills.

-         Ability to isolate and solve technical problems.

-         Must have excellent interpersonal skills

-         Must be a team player.

-     Must have a good command of the English language, both written and oral.
