OVERVIEW OF JOB

·        As a Software Engineer responsible for Websphere Administration, qualified candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, configuration and cloning of IBM Network Deployment Websphere Application servers, ITCAM and HTTP Web servers on z/OS and/or z/Linux platforms.

·        Four to six years working knowledge of z/OS, z/Linux, USS, DB2, CICS and MQ is required.

·        Candidate must have 2+ years of proven experience in installing and configuring Websphere version 5.1 or above and SSL Web server on z/OS or z/Linux platform; configuring applications using Websphere admin console and JACL scripts.  In-depth problem determination & resolution skills, Project management skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.

·        Experience in J2EE programming is a plus.

·        Assignments are independently planned with approval required.

·        Assignments are highly complex and difficult in area of expertise.

 

Requirements

·        High school and technical school training or equivalent required, college degree preferred.

·        Seven to nine years experience in information systems with four to six years experience supporting one or more of the following data base management systems: DB2, Sybase, Informix, M204, or IMS.
