Quality Assurance Manager 

Client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for its Web Production and Development department. Responsibilities include guiding and ensuring the execution and monitoring of all projects. The ideal candidate will bring an in-depth understanding of existing QA methodologies to implement and maintain a coherent, progressive QA strategy.

• Manage the QA efforts in the design, implementation and execution phases.
• Communicate QA progress and status on a project basis.
• Manage and maintain project schedules in MS Project.
• Monitor defects for tracking and reporting.
• Develop and in-depth, detailed understanding of engineering and operations architecture to support developers in applying debugging tools to assist in early detection of defects/design issues.
• Implement best practices to ensure standards to measure the quality of product deliverables.
• Manage and mentor team of QA Analysts to ensure they have the support to rapidly grow their abilities.
• Participate in root cause analysis for defects/design issues and provide process improvement suggestions to eliminate future occurrences of similar defects/issues.
• Quickly and effectively assess customer impact for customer facing issues.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years management experience, including management of a 5+ person team.
• Minimum 8 years experience in Software Quality Assurance with a proven track record in developing and implementing a successful quality strategy for web-based technologies.
• Strong technical leadership and project management skills, including testing effort estimation tracking and risk management.
• Strong background in Software Engineering and Quality Assurance techniques, process, practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of the Internet (HTML, XML, etc).
• Results-oriented approach to problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
