Senior Developer – Commercial Lending and Trade Finance - (US-NY-New York)

Responsible for maintaining existing code C++/JAVA code base, extending functionalities, and production support (bug fixes, application failures, performance tuning, etc.). As Senior Developer, additionally serve as team leader, accountable for delegating and managing task assignments to junior staff.

Business activities supported consist of financing products - loans, letter of credits, discount loans, and guarantees. The production architecture consist of core processing systems interfacing to downstream money transfer, general ledger, money market funding, and risk systems.

Existing code base contains mainly C/C++ interfaces, as well a small number of interfaces and reports using VB, Informatica and Crystal Reports. The position requires working closely with business analysts throughout the software development lifecycle (specifications, design, development, testing, and deployment). Consequently, the developer must have a firm knowledge of SDLC, object oriented programming, XML and SQL databases.


Responsibilities include:

Ø Maintenance of existing interfaces and reports

Ø Understanding specifications, working with business analysts to resolve any questions

Ø Estimating time for development, testing and implementation

Ø Unit test of interfaces, reports developed

Ø Coordinating with infrastructure teams during implementation phase

Ø Work as part of global team



Requirements for this role:

Ø Programming experience with C, C++ and SQL

Ø Familiar with Java, VB, Oracle and Sybase

Ø 5+ years IT experience in a similar role, total more than 10 years IT experience.

Ø Knowledge of Middleware technologies and XML

Ø Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ø Willingness to learn and be a team player.

Ø Knowledge of French language is a plus

Ø LoanIQ is a plus

Ø BS in Computer Science or equivalent
