JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   This is a software development position in the Media development team. The successful candidate will be a part of the team developing the distribution systems for supplying  news text, pictures and graphics to clients. The candidate must have a computer science background, and strong J2EE development skills. They must be able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies, and be able to work successfully in a team environment.   JOB SPECIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ·          Computer Science or Engineering degree. ·          Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in web development. ·          Strong  Java/J2EE Skills with 3 or more years experience ·          Knowledge of  Design Patterns ·          Database experience with one or more of the following: o         My SQL, o         SQL Server, o         Oracle. ·          Apache ·          Experience of one or more J2EE Containers including: o         WebLogic o         WebSphere o         Tomcat. ·          HTTP, XML, XSL, HTTP. ·          JavaScript / AJAX, CSS ·          Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture using Struts and Spring ·          Version control using a system such as CVS, Sub-Version or VSS. ·          Good communications skills, ·          Ability to work as part of a team.   JOB SPECIFICATIONS – DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE   ·          .Net experience ·          C++   Email resume in Word to thebiggamehunter@cisny.com  ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE EXPERIENCE SOUGHT.
