CPA is not required, but a nice to have.

 

They will look at candidates without a controller title as long as they have the right background.

 

They would like to see people out of multinational companies.

 

This role will manage three others.

 

Thomas Pink is a division of LVMH. This role will have a dotted line to headquarters in London. Position is located in the LV Tower in midtown.

 

The spec is below. It’s already posted on Monster, otherwise we are the only recruiter on this role.

 

Spec:
This position will manage all facets of financial reporting, management, and analysis. 

Management Reporting

·          Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysis of budget variances

·          Review all monthly account reconciliations

·          Maintain overall monthly accruals and prepayments schedules

·          Oversee the preparation of monthly reporting schedules, including: payroll, overhead, and cash reporting

·          Inventory reporting, to include:  margin analysis, aged stock and obsolescence reporting, stock losses etc

 

Cost Management

·          Proactively work with other managers to: review departmental expenditures, help with operational issues and assist in the control of expenses

·          Develop and enhance internal controls

·          Cost centre reporting to departmental heads

·          Cash flow forecasting

·          Review of all payments prior to authorisation

 

Business Planning

·          Preparation of annual budgets and strategic plans in support of US President

·          Develop financial and management insight through the use of Cognos and other financial systems

 

Compliance / Other

·          Federal, state and local tax reporting and compliance (with tax advisors and tax team)

·          Preparation of all statutory / regulatory returns

·          Customs compliance and optimization of import / export duties

·          Manage relationship with third party advisors – banks, tax advisors, auditors, treasury / tax teams etc

·          Ad hoc projects in response to business needs and priorities

 

COMPETENCIES

§          Experience in all of the above areas in a management accountant / team leader role

§          Knowledge of retail and brand management

§          Understanding of, and background in, management reporting and US GAAP

§          Results oriented

§          Strong excel skills – experience of Cognos / Exchequer useful but not required

§          CPA qualified

§          Strong communicator and creative / innovative work ethic

§          Keen attention to detail
