Global IT Services Director to 120K Melville, NY

This position reports to the VP of Technology for North America.  This person will be responsible for all internal users working on their network.  This person will be the IT point person for all executive staff.  This person will be responsible for developing processes and procedures for a growing global company.

 

Experience working with a Global company is a must. 

Technically candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Cisco / WAN environments including routers, firewalls and VPN’s

 

This position is based out of Melville.  It has 3 direct reports and 5 total reports.

Job Title: Global IT Services Director

Location: Melville, New York, United States

Description: This position is responsible for managing the overall global strategic direction of the IT Services organization, across approximately 30 sites around the world, supporting over 2500 users. The Director will serve as the IT focal point for Executive Management, and will build and manage a services team to support relationships with internal IT customers at all levels, and integrate the Services function across the globe. Review and continuously refine all IT Processes and Procedures and improve the knowledge base for the global IT organization.  This role requires review of all IT solutions in order to ensure efficient, effective customer service while building long-term technological solutions to various business conditions.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize/delegate tasks appropriately.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Broad knowledge of all Microsoft products
  • Experience in working with senior executives
  • Experience with global companies which implement IT methodologies
  • Experience in managing technical people
  • Experience in building central help desk.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Office products.
  • Preferred: Hands on knowledge of Cisco WAN Environments (routers, firewalls, VPN and VOIP traffic). Knowledge of Cisco IP Telephony – a plus.
  • Preferred: MCSE Certification, CCNP Certification.
  • Preferred: Experience in supporting Oracle applications users.
