System Test Integration engineer --NYC-- to $92000 plus bonus

System Test Integration Engineer.  This position is an integral part within our System Test Group for para-functional testing, including Integration, System, Performance, and Capacity testing for a trading platform.  The candidate must be driven to excellence with the ability to think creatively and to work independently.  The candidate should be accomplished in the development of complex test scripts, designing, developing and executing automated tests.  Further the candidate should be able to perform release builds into the test environment.  This positions requires frequent interaction with developers as well as other members of the project team from support staff to VP levels, therefore the candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Responsibilities to include:

• Serve as test lead for System Test Group
• Perform integration services for software and hardware releases
• Execute Performance, Capacity and Recovery Tests for software and hardware releases
• Document test cases, test plans and test results
• Plan, coordinate, and manage development efforts in the software cycle
• Provide support for other internal groups, including operations, application support, QA and development

 

Required Skills

Job Qualifications

• SQL Server
• Knowledge and experience with the complete Software Development Life Cycle including requirements, design, development and testing
• Database management and programming
• Messaging software: Tibco, Websphere MQ, Sonic, 29West inc
• Scripting languages: Perl/bash/ksh, etc
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP sockets, routing, switching, firewalss
• Development experience

Required Experience

Experience Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/MIS or related field required
• Financial trading systems experience
• Familiarity with Fix Protocol
• Excellent communication skills required, both oral and written
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to work with multiple/shifting priorities
• Exposure to Six Sigma concepts
