PERL CONFIGURATION ENGINEER (for a stellar candidate they might go a little above $80K)
Software Configuration Engineer
Responsibilities:
Automate WebFOCUS and reporting server installs on windows/UNIX/AS400/ZOS using Perl/shell scripting/windows batch/VB script Install and configure web/app servers like apache tomcat/web logic/sun one/Websphere/iis.
Configure WebFOCUS security using Siteminder/LDAP/SS/BASIC authentication etc.
Manage a wide variety of WebFOCUS and reporting server configurations using reporting server interfaces against SAP-BW/oracle/db2/ etc.
Troubleshot problems in WebFOCUS configurations.
WebFOCUS is the client’s web based business intelligence software, candidates do not need to know this software; they will be trained.
Skills and experience:
Four year college degree in computer science/math/engineering
2-5 years experience in the software industry
2-5 years experience in Perl
2 years experience in UNIX and/or AS/400
2-5 years experience with installing configuring web/app servers, especially on AS/400
Knowledge of VB scripting.
Advanced knowledge of windows OS
