Description: Support Plant electrical and controls projects to confirm consistency with Manufacturing standards and control philosophies. Engineering projects shall:
Achieve active involvement and input from all levels in the Manufacturing organization including hourly operators and maintenance personnel in all phases of project implementation.
Improve productivity through efficiency gains, yield improvements, labor utilization, and other rate improvements.
To insure projects are designed, managed and constructed in accordance with Engineering Standards, external Engineering Standards, Capital Management, Accounting and Purchasing Procedures, Engineering Procedures, and Safety Procedures.
To provide technical support to all operating and maintenance departments to help in trouble shoot and diagnose issue related to PLC and MMI programs. In particular provide technical back up to instrumentation technicians in order to solve difficult control problems.
To enhance maintenance processes through equipment and systems analysis in order to identify opportunities for equipment or process modification, equipment replacement, or application of new technology.
To actively develop and implement cost savings initiatives involving waste minimization, productivity improvements and other process optimization opportunities through an active partnership with Manufacturing’s maintenance and operation teams.
To serve as a Technical Consultant to Manufacturing by analyzing system and equipment failures in order to troubleshoot problems and to facilitate maintenance activities, procedural changes or capital improvements.
To develop, implement and monitor automation and control strategies and system architecture for the Bradenton facility. To review designs by others, and to ensure adherence to strategies and Tropicana specifications.
Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
* BS in Electrical Engineer or other Engineering.
* Demonstrated solid troubleshooting skills, track record of providing excellent customer service.
* Solid oral and written communication skills.
* At least 3 – 5 years HMI and PLC programming experience
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work overtime, weekends, off-shifts and holidays.
* Some travel required.
Candidate Must Have :
* 4 Year Degree
* Manufacture experience
* HMI and PLC Programming experience
