The position is responsible for providing management of Product and Process Development in all technical aspects of the development of bare and insulated cable products and improvement of existing products and processes.
This is a divisional responsibility and requires interfacing with all of the Division’s North American functions as well as suppliers, Sales, Marketing and all Cable Plants.
Incumbent will be responsible for managing development programs and be intimately involved with approval of new materials while improving quality and reducing scrap.
The incumbent will manage a small team of professionals and coordinate divisional process engineering resources.
The incumbent is recognized as one of the Division’s experts. He or she will coordinate or directly manage major product and process programs throughout the Division.
The incumbent should have a thorough understanding of Aluminum metallurgy, Process Capabilities, Process Control, and polymer materials.

• Bachelor degree in relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years experience within the wire and cable or related industry.
• Have a proven record of accomplishment with the implementation of new technology and be well known by cable industry materials and/or equipment suppliers.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with people at all levels with tact and diplomacy, including Technology staff, Cable plants, Sales/Marketing, and outside agencies.
• Management experience is preferred and the candidate should be seeking future career advancement in a management capacity.
• Highly motivated and capable of leading with minimal direction.
• Must possess strong analytical skills using statistical methods and tools – Design of Experiments, Minitab, etc.
• Must be willing to travel throughout North America and internationally as required.


* BS Degree in engineering or scientific discipline
* 10 years cable & wire manufacturing experience
* Willing to travel up to 50% in US and internationally
