We seek an IT infrastructure oriented business strategist with a rich background in supporting enterprise production environments. Full technical support of growing financial services company in the areas of infrastructure, desktop distribution and scripting, service-oriented architecture, and product maintenance support.
The Technical Services Leader collaborates with Service Delivery, Common Services and multiple application portfolios to design, deliver and support all aspects of the strategic and tactical planning, production, development and maintenance of enterprise wide technology solutions. The Technical Services Leader and staff shall provide strategy, tools and technology infrastructure to allow for optimal efficiency in support of the company’s technology development efforts.
This role will set direction to enable this team to fulfill its mission of being a customer centric, cost-effective infrastructure services team committed to excellence and delivering the Brand Promise. The role has responsibility for Infrastructure project sponsorship and direction, development of staff leadership and coaching of management and technical resources. This role requires a background in Infrastructure production support processes and is current in Large Mainframe, Server and desktop based Intel distributed infrastructure, UNIX based infrastructure and network technologies. The TS team consists of 80 staff members.
This role will evaluate effectiveness of processes, design and offer solutions to enhance infrastructure maturity in ITIL V3. Partner directly with key IT and security leaders in multiple functions to provide strategic system solutions to business initiatives.
Provide leadership to the 3rd Tier client support, architect and automation teams; ensure customer satisfaction through the timely provisioning of IT products and services, and the quality management of the trouble-ticket function.

A proven professional with at least 10 years experience in Infrastructure or ISP production support. Prefer experience in a large corporate environment with 5,000+ MIPS, 5,000 servers, 30,000 clients
a. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft servers, UNIX Servers, Windows desktops, CISCO networks, IBM Mainframe, Middleware services and web-based application support.
b. Experience with Network security issues, application development processes, large project sponsorship and financial oversight.
Ideal Candidate will also have the following background:
1. Experience in leading both matrix and solid line assigned teams of people greater than 100.
2. Experience in spearheading projects and recovery efforts that cross application, infrastructure, and organizational boundaries
3. Would have
a. Been promoted by current management team within last 2 years.
b. Education background of 4 years college at a minimum
c. Diverse background in a variety of IT project, production support and development practices. (six sigma, waterfall, agile, recovery, root cause)
