Job Responsibilities
Development of algorithmic trading engines and frameworks for trading engines. These engines include:
• Benchmark strategies (VWAP, TWAP, POV, CLOCK, ARRIVAL benchmarks etc…)
• Tactical strategies and smart order routing algorithms.
• Custom purpose built engines
• Pairs trading, Index Arbitrage engines etc…
• Development of client analytics and performance metrics. This includes pre-trade reports
• intra/real-time analytics post trade/transaction cost analytics
• Development of common frameworks and components that helps facilitate/expedite the development and deployment of the engines and analytics components described above.
The development of these components is based on a mix of Java and C++ on a Linux env for the backend component and Java Swing and C# on Windows for the front end components; oracle and k db databases are also leveraged.
Qualifications
• Should be an energetic self driven person with very strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
• Should be proficient in Java programming and have experience with Linux/Window operating systems, and Oracle databases
• Strong threading experience/experience in the development of very complex high throughput/low latency mission critical applications
• Knowledge of Capital markets, ideally Equities, strongly preferred
• Market micro structure considered an asset
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance rules
• Ability to work in a team environment is absolutely mandatory as the incumbent will be part of a Global team
