IDEAL FOR A LESS EXPERIENCED PERSON WHO IS IN A LARGE ENVIRONMENT AND IS CONCERNED ABOUT GETTING PIGEONHOLED IN ONE FUNCTION 

Will be responsible for analyzing, recommending, planning, engineering, implementing, maintaining, and supporting new processes, technologies, systems, services, and/or applications. The Systems Engineer will play a key role with company projects and will also be responsible for select database operations and support escalation in multiple locations. We are fast-growing and have state-of-the-art servers, networking equipment, virtualization, storage, and software. 

Principal tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
• Evaluate, engineer, plan, implement, and support systems, services, applications, processes, and/or procedures to support company and department initiatives 
• Participate in, coordinate, and/or run projects as defined or assigned by company initiatives and/or department management 
• Become a subject matter expert for select systems, services, and applications 
• Provide assistance with system and infrastructure administration and site operations consisting of Windows, IIS, SQL Server, Exchange, and Linux machines 
• Perform data analysis and deployments 
• Work with tech team to help maintain and support system databases 
• Develop and maintain system, process, and procedural documentation 
• Establish and maintain business unit relationships 
• Participate in the 24x7 on call rotation 

Required Qualifications 
• BS or equal in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 
• 3 years experience in systems administration or engineering 
• Solid understanding of networking and systems concepts and equipment 
• Strong troubleshooting skills 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to work independently on projects spanning IT & multiple business units 

Preferred Qualifications 
• Project Management experience 
• Knowledge of administrative scripting tools and capabilities 
• Fundamental knowledge of SharePoint and project software 
• Working knowledge of IIS 
• MCSE/MCP
