Focus of this role will be on performance analysis and system architecture, working cross functionally to identify, design, and implement platform and process improvements for performance, scalability and reliability.
Tasks/Responsibilities include:
- Support and aid performance testing team.
- Review tests for coverage and completeness
- Review test results, perform deep dive analysis, report findings and contribute to capacity planning
- Architect and contribute to development of automated key performance measurement frameworks
- Analyze data from development, test and production to determine bottlenecks, identify problems and areas for performance improvements
- Design and implement performance enhancements
- Recommend platform and product changes to improve application performance and scalability
- Recommend process improvements for performance testing and methodology
Requirements. Not all are required. The more qualification in the following areas the better.
- 5+ years of server-side Java software development with a focus on high performance, such as on transaction processing systems,
- 1+ year of client side JavaScript/DHTML/CSS development
- Architectural design principles for application performance, scalability and reliability: Strong understanding of concurrency and multi-core computing; Strong understanding of client side performance best practices
- Java profiling, tuning and threading and memory leak analysis
- Browser profiling, tuning and memory leak analysis
- Database performance analysis and tuning
- J2EE application server administration, configuration and tuning
- Strong programming skills Java and JavaScript
- Performance testing tools
