To meet these demands, our client is trying to hire a senior developer with solid experience in developing n-tier web applications in the finance industry. The role is for a position within Global Markets Front Office Technology to work closely with the business and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software on timescales in an intellectually challenging environment. The candidate must be fully hands on and be able to perform within a busy and time pressured environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for development and support of front office trading and derivative applications.
· The job involves the ability to analyze, design, develop and troubleshoot new and existing applications.
· Participate in full SDLC process - includes all the phases from requirement gathering to production implementation.
· Work within a distributed team environment having an offshore component.
· Develop Server side application using Core JAVA, spring and Hibernate.
· Enhance and maintain existing server side components written in JAVA/Spring/Hibernate.
· Understand and enhance various trading system components.
· Optimize and tune existing modules for better performance.
· Contribute towards design and solutions by developing prototypes and proofs of concept
· Collaborate with extended development and QA teams in a different time zone
· Collaborate with QA team for deliverables
· Collaborate with Muni Users for UAT testing.
Qualifications:
· The right candidate should have 7+ years of total experience developing application in core Java
· The right candidate should also have prior experience working with a trading system.
Requirements
- JAVA: 7+ years
- Web Services, Web framework 2.0
- Tibco RV or equivalent messaging
- Solaris/Linux:
- Spring/Hibernate: 2+
- Sybase or other equivalent RDBMS
- AJAX, XML, JDBC, JavaScript 2+ years
Plusses
· Knowledge of Python scripting language and object database concept is a VERY BIG plus.
