Description:    Qualifications: 
• B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 
• 5 – 7 years in developing and maintaining high reliability online systems 
• Experience with Agile development process & tools 
• Experience in leading Agile development 
• Experience in software management tools 
• Strong understanding of N-Tier Application Architecture 
• Strong understanding of Java, or other object oriented languages 
• Experience with MarkLogic, XML related tools, xquery highly preferred 
• Experience assessing technology options and platforms 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

Essential Functions: 
• Direct and improve the product technical, environmental and architectural roadmap 
• Final decision maker on key technical issues and improvements 
• Coordinate development efforts between an internal development team and outside vendors 
• Work closely with the product development team to come up with innovative and feasible technical solutions to business needs 
• Coordinate with the project manager to plan/schedule and keep projects on track 
• Experience in sizing and estimating development projects 
• Write and maintain technical documentation that describes logic, environments, testing practices, change and release management. 
• Guide code reviews, develop and enforce coding standards both internally and also with vendors 
• Ensure acceptable product performance through good design practices and testing 
• Answer technical questions from our internal teams and our clients 
• Experience negotiating and building consensus 
• Utilize sound decision making skills and communicate well with other team members and business users. 
• Identify problems proactively and recommends solutions
