Description:    As a Senior Java developer, you will be focused on defining data models, bringing market data into our systems from disparate sources, and storing it in a data warehouse designed/extended by you. You will also be responsible for giving access to this data via web services. 


Responsibilities 

- Lead or work in collaboration on the design and implementation of database models 

- Lead or work in collaboration on the design and implementation of Java applications 

- Gathering technical requirements 

- Ability to work with multiple groups across reporting lines 



Requirements 

- Strong database (must be very experienced with SQL, Oracle, data modeling, data warehousing, packages, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and optimization) 

- Strong Java (solid core Java, extensive experience with multithreading, JDBC, XML parsing and debugging, Java 5+) 

- Web services 

- Ant/Maven 

- Spring framework 

- Unix/Shell scripting 



Bonus skills 

- RMDS 

- FIX Protocol 

- JSP, JavaScript, HTML 

- Postgres Database 

- JMS 

- Market knowledge (FX exchange, Credit derivatives, Energy)
