Description:    Provide finance and accounting support to the mortgage company s Controller s group. This position will be responsible for FFIEC charge-off and troubled debt restructuring accounting. 

Basic Qualifications 
2+ years accounting experience. 
- BA/BS in Accounting or business related field 
- 2 years of SEC/Regulatory reporting experience 
- 2 years of accounting experience with the monthly/quarterly closing of the books process 
- 2 years of assessing control and risk environment process analysis e.g. SOX controls 
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Access and Essbase 
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Preferred Skills 
- CPA/MACC/MBA 
- 2+ years of mortgage industry experience 
- 2 years of public accounting experience 
- Demonstrated strong teamwork, organizational, problem solving, multi-tasking, and analytical skills 
- Knowledge of irisWeb and eagleWeb is a plus 

Involved with monthly closing process and monthly and quarterly SEC and Regulatory reporting. Also responsible for preparing and analyzing accounting trends, implementing new accounting policies, identifying and implementing process improvements, creating robust accounting analyses and working with other complex accounting issues. 

You will also be a team leader on special projects to integrate and enhance current systems and processes. Experience with control environment process analyses is desired. This individual will communicate with various groups across the firm and will need to possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry is highly desired.
