Requirements: 
* Ph.D. in Plant/Molecular Breeding or related scientific fields (Agronomy, Genetics, Horticulture, etc) with 5+ years of experience or M.S. in Plant Breeding or related field with 10+ years of professional experience 
* Field breeding experience with experience facilitating Information Technology connectivity within a program and data management current knowledge for new science and technological developments - proven ability to apply those to continuously improve functional area capabilities 
* Strong computer, analytical, and creative skills are needed to analyze data, prepare management updates and crop site literature 
* Leadership skills- implement new statistical methods 
* Expertise applying Information Technology and data analysis to solve operational breeding problems 
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally 

JOB DESCRIPTION 
* Apply defined scientific principles to solve data management problems and Information Technology systems for data capture in field and laboratory settings 
* Design, conduct, and interpret experiments/trials 
* Collect phenotypic descriptions and summarize multi-year data sets 
* Exploit new developments from the scientific literature 
* Develop and implement research and/or technology-driven proposals effectively document and communicate research findings and achievement of project goals 
* Identify problems and make recommendations for multiple projects 
* Implement recommendations balancing conflicting requirements across projects 
* Facilitate problem solving within the team and serve as a liaison to support teams in Crop Genetics, Research, and Discovery Breeding 
* Demonstrate experience in facilitating Information Technology connectivity within a program and manage data Must keep abreast of new science and technological developments and exploit them to continuously improve functional area capabilities 
* Use computer, analytical, and creative skills to analyze data, prepare management updates and crop science literature for visits of breeders, growers, and others 
* Be an experienced and effective investigator/breeder, developing technical expertise and leadership capabilities 
* Use special expertise in the applications of Information Technology and data analysis to solve operational breeding problems
