Description:    Requirements 
5+ years of public relations experience, including creation of press materials (press releases, talking points, press plans), managing campaigns and projects, and managing assets (photography, video, etc.) 
2+ years of direct responsibility for media relations 
Bachelor's degree in English, mass communications, journalism or related field 
Excellent knowledge and awareness of TV and entertainment industry, including top TV and interactive press, blogs and Twitter 
Proven ability to generate media coverage; must have strong press contacts and be comfortable with pitching 
Experience developing social media campaigns and assets 
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously 
Project management expertise 
Excellent word processing and computer skills 
Knowledge of HTML coding and PhotoShop, and other Web-related software packages, including content management systems 
Able to work well with wide variety of people and answer requests promptly and efficiently 
Excellent skills writing, editing, proofing and handling requests for information 
Ability to work well under intense deadline pressure and fielding multiple requests 

Responsibilities 
Manage communications strategies, budgets and agencies for primetime priority programs and digital campaigns. 
Working with social media team, formulate and execute strategies 
Develop strong national media relationships with relevant press and blog outlets; research and update media lists. 
Work closely with colleagues in programming, marketing and interactive areas, as well as show producers 
Work with communications team to develop campaigns and narratives. 
Oversee the process of submitting select programs for major awards including congratulatory ads & press releases 
Support executive speakers’ bureau
