Description:    This firm is a well-funded startup with extensive domain knowledge and is an active, involved member of the mHealth community. 
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Senior Software Engineer work on the core product – a multi-tenant web application used for finding and prescribing mHealth content. It is mainly used by clinicians and supports mobile, tablet, and desktop use. It uses a REST API, JSON, and MVC in the browser with backbone. 

The ideal candidate has a good feel for developer usability, understands different API conventions, and can make it all work very fast. Responsibilities include: 

Designing and implementing API functionality. 
Developing high-quality code with a focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, and security. 
Defining data models and choosing data formats. 
Collaborating with Product to ensure that the software achieves business goals. 

Requirements: 
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
• 5+ years’ experience. 
• Experience building web services or service oriented architectures. 
• Experience creating multi-tenant applications. 
• Expertise in C++, C#, Java, or equivalent. 
• Expertise in data modeling and database design with a strong knowledge of SQL and the understanding of when and how to use non-RDBMS's (NoSQL, graph, etc). 
• Understanding of web security and its implementation. 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. 
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. 
• Experience with mobile apps and app stores is a plus. 
• Knowledge of HL7, ICD9 and 10, and related healthcare standards is a plus. 
• Healthcare experience is preferred.
