Description: This position will 1) focus on defining and implementing tools, processes and methodologies to improve application and infrastructure quality within the IT&S department, 2) establish and maintain a metrics program for QA, Release Management and Incident Management, 3) provide support to the QA disciplines: the Functional & Regression Test team, the Infrastructure and Automation Test team, the Performance Test team, and the Release Management team, 4) evaluate, recommend, and implement testing, configuration and change management tools and strategies, and 5) support the continuing growth and maturation of the QA team.
Job Functions/Responsibilities (List in order of importance):
1. Provide quality assurance and testing direction and services for new, enhanced, and regulatory compliance changes to applications.
2. Communicate and interact with other IT&S, QA and Business Unit team members to gather information and proactively resolve issues.
3. Assist the VP of QA with team direction-setting, plan execution and overall leadership of the QA Team
4. Assist the Functional & Regression test team, the Infrastructure & Automation test team, and the Performance test team with providing testing services to projects as needed
5. Gather and report metrics for QA’s test teams, QA’s Release Management team and Incident Management
6. Author and maintain the QA Management Procedures document, in accordance with Application Quality Assurance Tier 1 Standard, to document and cross-train QA team members on formal QA processes and procedures, and to support the FRB initiative
7. Evaluate and recommend QA tools and processes.
Required:
- Seasoned, passionate QA leader who can drive projects through completion
- Experience with Quality Center, Performance Center, QTP, and LoadRunner
- Waterfall, Agile or Scrum (Agile preferred)
- SDLC a plus
