Description:   

Technical/Functional Skills •   Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. Proficiency with SolidWorks (modeling, drawings and assemblies)

•       Ability to apply thorough knowledge of engineering and drafting standards, codes and regulations affecting particular disciplines or drafting projects assigned.

•       3+ years of drafting experience.

•       Experienced draftsperson able to perform non-routine and complex items having distinctive design features that can differ significantly from established drafting precedents.

•       Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards

•       MWD / LWD systems design experience preferable in formation testing instruments is a plus

 

Experience Required    

4 ~ 6 years experience

Roles & Responsibilities       

•       Under limited supervision, investigates and procures all data required to develop designs.

•       Prepares preliminary sketches and/or schematic diagrams.

•       Performs moderate to complex computer aided designs with emphasis on functionality, manufacturing and maintainability.

•       Prepares designs having distinctive design features that can differ significantly from established drafting precedents.

•       Employs the best combination of all preliminary information and contributing data to develop final design.

•       Prepares layout, design and assembly drawings.

•       Learns current manufacturing/business systems for basic cost, inventory and purchasing information.

•       Handles special projects, as assigned
